Dalat Danang and Hoi or reconciliation with Vietnam

Having read that the train was between Hue and Danang is simply stunning with its proximity to the sea, I decided to go that route rather than the bus, cheaper! Well no regrets! D a, I have found this very nice Vietnamese on the platform with which I am associated in friendship and with whom J have spent the next two days and two, the scenery is really beautiful!
The railway line runs along the coast over 200km, giving splendid views, apart from the presence of electric cables ... (Must be a little criticism)

Arriving in Danang (station closest to Hoi An, my destination) I look Giang, the Vietnamese, his cousin (m she had said was the basis that she was going to Hoi An, I hope, therefore, take the bus with her!). She was visiting family in made in Danang and Hoi quickly had to visit the next year. She therefore invited to stay with his uncle for the night and we went to visit Hoi An the next day with his cousin by motorcycle (with backpack c was, you know, folk ...). The after noon was spent visiting Danang quickly is a big city so we have mostly wanders through the market and then we go we stroll on the beach and have admired the sunset.

The meal was obviously taken with the family (Saturday night require) so we found a dozen around the table, only Giang spoke English, of course! We then go and admire the lighted bridges in town and did a tandem tour (typically Vietnamese tourists, it adapts!)

The next departure therefore Hoi, small beautiful city with small houses with yellow walls and beach paradise, featuring clothing tailored. This in fact, of course, relatively tourist destination. I spend the morning with my breakfast Vietnamese wandering through the city and makes an appointment with Giang Ho Chi Minh City where she lives with her parents. The rest of the day will be the same tone.

The next day I discovered the famous beach, with superb sea temperature welcoming my bike and ride around.

The last day will be spent visiting the My Site of ruins of temples from the 8th century, great!

Hue Ninh binh

After some 15 hours of sleeper bus, here I am in Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam under the Nguyen Dynasty. No unfortunately the weather is still not on my side: the first day that passes under a light rain but dense ... It gives me the opportunity to scroll through a collection of "ponchos" colores!

was not very attracted by this city, I decided to take part in a group for a day, so I will see all the attractions in record time! On the agenda: the forbidden city, temple and pagoda and the major tombs of the emperors.

Tombs, I confess, are simply impressive. The first is located on a hill and to prevent any looting, the emperor's body was buried in an unknown location. It shows also the statues of the "mandarins" advisers during his reign the emperor.

The second is much more impressive with a Vietnamese architecture with European influences. The interior is covered with mosaics sublime.

The last, as the former is vast, and the "advantage" of being in a group leaves us only 30 minutes to go around ... while 2h would not have been too!

way out, we stop in a village manufacturer of incense and the famous Vietnamese hats (which tell part "very touristy)

return to town is by boat ...

Side Effects Of Discontinuing Yaz

, or clouds follow me

Cat Ba Island, I left with only one desire, to return, but we must move ... And I sincerely hope that the weather improves s south ... pfff, it s nice to hope! Again, anecdote of transport. I went through this time agency. The deal was the following: bus up to the port, ship and re up a bus Ninh Binh. Everything goes well until a. .. Haiphong city or, it seems, we don not had accused, he had to change buses. But, 10km from the bus station, a woman stopped our bus and ask all passengers to get off to Ninh Binh, and I execute m 3 other toursits. The bus leaves. It tells us that the station is a 10km bus to the Ninh Binh is at 12am (it's 11:45) so we must hurry, hurry, hurry up on the motorcycle taxis that are, happily, just him and pay 50 000Dong each. The one of the tourists, an Italian s Pissed off frankly, how long those it, and we decided to take a taxi (car) and share the costs, we will have a total of 50 000D. I confess this blow the breath me! I am persuaded that the bus where we were taking us to the station where we had to make the match but the driver let this woman down for us to pump our money! In short, new money arrives at the station on time and against all odds we have not had repay the bus to Ninh Binh! Transportation here is decidedly strange!
Anyway, so Ninh Binh is nice is that I am neither a night and spent the day with 2 Canadian (with whom we share the taxi, we gladly sow Italian as mild anger). We rented bikes and we are walking around ... in the rain, again. And one of them is s plant ... again, but much less severe this time. He just glides over the mud. So the program visit Tam Coc, site visit by boat with cellars. It was nice.

Then we looked for other wineries but after 1:30 it was simply abandoned and we returned because the rain became really heavy and night approached.

Cat Ba Island!

During this trip, I've been really appricier the joys of transportation in Vietnam! C is ironic, of course! The bus from Sapa was "sleeper", understand sleeper bus. Well, being difficult I would say that my berth is in the format Vietnamese, thus far too small and no mountain driving is not very comfortable, especially for sleeping. Neamoins, ca s is going well. The result was more challenging. In after my guide, I had to change bus station in Hanoi to go to Halong Bay. But descandant the bus at 5am in the morning, a reel m indicates a bus leaving immediately for Halong Bay. I climb, the price being that more interesting. 3 hours after we wake up and waves me down. I do it and I realized once I'm out on the edge of the highway with nothing around ...! Only 2 or 3 bike taxi. The bus driver speaks one of them al ... biensur in Vietnamese party and here I am I do not know where. He finally set me down in a travel agency and asked me 50 000 Dong (FYI 1 Euro = 25 000 dong), I 20 000 leaves, and if he is not happy c is the same. Briefly, the guy from the agency wants to sell me a ticket to go all inclusive on Cat Ba Island for only 400 000 So. Not satisfied with this option I asked m to indicate the direction of the port and takes leave. In walking around on the beach, I'm getting closer to a boat and ended up buying a ticket a guy for 200 motorcycle with 000Dong visit a cave and the bus on Cat Ba Island included. The boat departs to 12pm, it is that n 9, I landed on the beach reading a book to give me story of my night.

Midi approach I found m the guy who leads onto his bike to the port (c is that I understood that I n went up in the boat that was in front of me ...). I find myself grafted to a group of tourists on a lovely wooden boat. The crossing is splendid, the visit of the cave, you know, lighted with a thousand lights (away from all this seem natural, but impressive nonetheless).

A arrival on the island we are more than Group 3 (others leave directly in Hanoi). And of course no buses, public anyway. Only a bus for tourists eventually agreed to take us for a price exorbitant! M'enfin, now I know in Vietnam, it is better to go through travel agencies, they take a committed but at least we do not pay 10 times the price and we have a number to call a case.
Regarding Cat Ba Island, c is just magnificent. I got one day to discover the island bike and hike one day to discover the natural park in the very center of the island. Both were strong in emotion. The first because the roads are in very good condition which allows for small bursts of speed and the second as the park is impressive to tropical flora. I'll let you judge:
